What do I need to know about geotextile ?

Tipptex® BS geotextiles are made from 100% polypropylene, non-woven, needle felted fibre structureproducts with an area density of 85-370 g/m2 and tensile strength values ranging from 4-30 kN/m. Tipptex® BS geotextiles have higher mechanical properties than Tipptex® B/N types, thanks to a new production technology with lower areal density. This property makes them particularly suitable for use in areas where the excellent mechanical properties of geotextiles are a requirement.

What are geotextiles good for?

In garden construction, it can be used as an effective mulch against weed infestation, separating the different layersfor thermal insulation, media filtration or soil stabilisation, for example: térkő alá, járda alá, kőágyás alá, mulcs alá, ágyás elválasztására, jáseparation, under pine bark, under gravel, for separation of gullies, for pavement fixation, etc.

It protects against frost in winter and against drought in summer.
It can also be used in residential and industrial buildings to cure foundations or to stabilise the roof structure.
For the installation of sewer systems, drainage systems, as geotextile is permeable and stabilises the soil.
For laying natural gas pipelines.

How to install?

Laying geotextile 100 g is very easy. The first step is to prepare the soil properly. Once the right density has been selected, the material can be easily cut to size, stretched out and installed with an overlap of 10-15 cm is recommended.For fixing, geotextile fixing spikes(FIXSOL, SPIKE) are available. The thicker the material, the higher the tensile strength.
